Aesthetics Before-Care Instructions
To ensure optimal results and minimize potential complications, please follow these guidelines before your aesthetic treatment:
1. General Pre-Treatment Guidelines:

Avoid Alcohol & Caffeine: Refrain from consuming alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) for at least 24-48 hours prior to your treatment to minimize bruising and swelling.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin well-hydrated.

Avoid Sun Exposure: Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning for at least 7 days prior to treatment. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.

Discontinue Retinoids & Exfoliants: Stop using retinol, Retin-A, AHAs, BHAs, and other exfoliating products 3-5 days before treatment.

Medications & Supplements: Inform your practitioner of all medications, supplements, and herbal remedies you are currently taking.

Cold Sores/Herpes: If you are prone to cold sores, notify your provider as antiviral medication may be recommended prior to treatment.

Avoid Dental Work: Avoid any major dental work for 2 weeks before and after injectable treatments.

Avoid Blood Thinners: Discontinue blood-thinning medications and supplements (e.g., fish oil, vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba) for 7 days prior, with approval from your physician.

Makeup & Skincare: Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face.

Stop Active Ingredients: Cease use of retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and vitamin C 5 days prior to treatment.

Waxing & Hair Removal: Avoid waxing, threading, or laser hair removal 7 days before the procedure.

Skin Sensitivity: Notify your provider if you have used Accutane in the past 6 months or have a history of skin conditions.

Shave the Treatment Area: Shave the area 24 hours before your laser session.

Avoid Sun Exposure: Avoid tanning beds, self-tanners, and sun exposure for 2 weeks prior.

No Topical Products: Do not apply lotions, deodorants, or fragrances on the day of treatment.

Stop Retinoids & Exfoliants: Discontinue use of retinoids and exfoliants 3-5 days before treatment.

Avoid Botox/Fillers: Avoid receiving Botox or filler injections within 2 weeks prior to a Hydrafacial.

Wear comfortable clothing and avoid wearing jewelry or accessories on treatment areas.
